Timeless

The thing I like most about this photo is that it seems as if it was taken in the 19th century. It is so possible to come across such authentic scenes when you go for a walk in European villages.

Actually I took this photo last Saturday when I visited Dordrecht. It was a cosy harbor village and considered to the oldest city of Holland. It has a history of almost 1000 years old. You can find a rich history while especially walking around the historic harbor area.

Ladybug

We spent this afternoon in the garden with my daughter. We found this lady bug among the flourishing herbs . She wispered us that the spring is in the air. Welcome back Spring! We missed you a lot.

A Blackbird in our neighbourhood

The Blackbird is the most common bird in the Netherlands. It is estimated that there are around 3.5 million of them. They say that it is even more common than the House Sparrow!

Last weekend we walked in the woods. It was so great with all those leaves under your feet and hearing their rustle.
